Terms and Limitations
We believe that our Short Order Site is excellent value, and we think you'll agree. It is difficult to find professional web site development at this price point; it is even more difficult to find it with the combination of such rapid delivery and the guarantee of a unique design (no templates). Thus, we think our approach is visionary, and we're excited to offer this innovative service.
Understandably, this amazing combination does mean that, in comparison to more conventional site packages, things are done differently in terms of the development process. It is also important that you understand the nature of our guarantee.
Consultation
With a Short Order Site, there is no consultation process built in to the fee. At this price point and time line, that is simply not feasible.
This does not leave you in the dark. You know your business better than anyone, and it may well be that you are entirely comfortable supplying your own content.
Alternatively, if there are a few key matters you want professional counsel on, you may consult with us beforehand (at our advertised hourly rate of $60/hr). It is especially advisable for you to research how search engines handle content, so that you can make the most out of your site.
Of course, if you need thoroughgoing consultation, you would be best to move up to a more fully-developed site development package from Pactum Web Services.
Regarding design, the implications of "no consultations" need to be clear. We believe strongly in our portfolio, and that our clients have excellent assurance that we will produce a quality site for them - which is only in our best interest if we hope to remain in business.
Still, without consultation, there is no guarantee that you will be 100% happy with the particular layout and graphical choices we make. You are of course free to specify colours. And you may specify which of your images you want where, whether on a given page or incorporated into the layout (e.g. in the header). We will not track down and study other sites that you may wish to emulate ("I want my site to look like example.com"). Beyond the basic matters you specify, we need to exercise our own professional judgment.
Domain Propagation & Our 24 Hour Guarantee
With regard to the 24 hour guarantee: We absolutely guarantee that your domain will be registered, and your site developed and uploaded within 24 hours of receiving notice of your file uploads. We cannot, however, guarantee that you will necessarily see your site by browsing to your domain at that time. While in our experience new domains almost always propagate within minutes, it can technically take up to 72 hours for a new domain to propagate around the world of the web. While this is very rare, it can happen, and is completely beyond our control, and thus, nothing we guarantee.
In the unlikely event that you cannot see your site after 24 hours, upon request, we can provide you an alias URL with which you can view your site before the domain propagates.
Limitations Regarding Content
As indicated in our note in the column at right, we reserve the right to refuse service in connection with sites which may be deemed offensive and inappropriate. Such refusal will extend to, but not be limited to: sites containing pornography, materials violating copyright, and sites promoting illegal behaviour.
